Description
This electrifying live recording captures Weather Report’s final touring lineup at the Live Under The Sky festival in Japan, July 29th, 1983. With Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter at the helm, the band introduced a fresh rhythm section: Victor Bailey on bass and Omar Hakim on drums — both proving themselves worthy successors to Jaco Pastorius and Peter Erskine. The performance blends tracks from Night Passage, Procession, and Domino Theory, alongside a medley of classic hits including “Birdland.” The set showcases the band’s dynamic interplay, genre-defying improvisation, and enduring legacy in jazz fusion.
