Description
Just weeks after releasing their Phil Spector-produced fourth album End of the Century, the Ramones landed in Paris to perform a blistering set for France’s iconic music TV show Chorus. Recorded on February 21, 1980, this broadcast showcases the band at their electrifying best—buzzsaw guitars, breakneck tempos, and impenetrable NYC cool.
The set blends fresh tracks like “Rock & Roll High School” and “Do You Remember Rock & Roll Radio?” with classic punk anthems, drawing a direct line between their pop-punk ethos and the bubblegum brilliance of Spector-era girl groups. Though clocking in at just over 20 minutes, the performance is a masterclass in punk minimalism and intensity.
Released by FM Concert Broadcasts Ltd. (catalog number FMGZ152CD), this CD is a collector’s gem for fans of live punk recordings and Ramones completists.
