Blue & Lonesome is the Rolling Stones' 23rd studio album, released on December 2, 2016. It marks a return to their blues roots, featuring cover songs originally performed by legends like Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, and Eddie Taylor. The album was recorded in just three days at British Grove Studios in London, capturing a raw, live energy. Eric Clapton makes a guest appearance on two tracks, adding his signature guitar work. The album was critically acclaimed, winning the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album in 2018. It was also the final studio album released before the passing of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021.
