Neil Young - Chrome Dreams CD

    Description

Neil Young – Chrome Dreams CD (2023 Official Release)
This is the long‑awaited, first‑ever official issue of Neil Young’s legendary “lost” 1977 album, finally released exactly as originally compiled—12 tracks recorded 1974–1976, including several canonical Young songs in their earliest intended sequence.

Chrome Dreams is part of the Neil Young Archives Special Release Series, restoring the mythical 1977 acetate that circulated for decades among collectors. This edition presents the album in its originally planned running order, sourced from the master tapes and produced by Neil Young and David Briggs with Tim Mulligan.

The release gathers 12 studio recordings from 1974–1976, including early or alternate versions of major Young classics—Pocahontas, Like a Hurricane, Powderfinger, Homegrown, and Look Out for My Love. Two tracks (Stringman and Too Far Gone) appear in previously unreleased versions, making this a historically significant archival issue.

The back cover features Young’s handwritten sequencing notes, reflecting the album’s original two‑side structure.
