This unofficial release captures Bowie’s farewell performance in Japan on 12th December 1978 at NHK Hall, Tokyo, during the Low/Heroes World Tour. Having shed the chaos of Los Angeles and his cocaine-fueled years, Bowie was creatively recharged — and it shows. The setlist bridges his Berlin-era experimentation with the soul-infused swagger of Young Americans and Station to Station, offering a vivid snapshot of a transitional genius in full command.
The CD is professionally remastered from the original Japanese TV broadcast and comes housed in a 4-panel digipack with UV gloss and a 4-page booklet featuring background notes and rare archival photos. It also includes three bonus tracks from his 1979 Saturday Night Live appearance — a fitting coda to this electrifying performance.
